We are delighted to announce that Origin3 have successfully secured full planning permission for a 100% affordable housing development on behalf of Bristol City Council’s Housing Delivery Team.
The scheme will deliver 23 socially-rented apartments on the site of the former White Hall community building at Glencoyne Square, Southmead. Identified in the community-led Southmead Masterplan, this development is a key element in the regeneration of the area, reflecting collaboration between local residents and stakeholders.

This development not only addresses the pressing need for affordable housing in Bristol but also prioritises sustainable transport, renewable energy and wider community benefits, marking an important step forward for Southmead’s regeneration. All homes are designed as low-carbon properties, incorporating heat pumps, solar panels, and electric vehicle charging points to promote sustainability and reduce environmental impact.
Bringing forward this scheme has also enabled the neighbouring Embleton Road playground to be upgraded with design input from students at Little Mead Primary Academy.

Origin3 would like to extend thanks to the project team for their work in helping secure this consent: Emmett Russell Architects, Method Consulting, Jubb, Bosky Trees Ltd, Ethos Environmental Planning, Roundfield and Structural Soils.
