An urban extension of 450 homes to the north of Bishop’s Cleeve, located close to Cleeve Hill and the Cotswold AONB. Origin3 led an extensive planning application process with local authority negotiation, community engagement and master-planning at its’ core. The Inspector’s decision to allow the outline application for 450 dwellings and a mixed-use community centre following a public inquiry was endorsed by the Secretary of State in July 2012 and was successfully defended under a subsequent High Court legal challenge. It represented a ground-breaking decision in the early days of the National Planning Policy Framework on a site that lay outside of the development plan process.
Origin3 also played a central role in the transition of development parcels to a number of national housebuilders and remains involved to this date securing various detailed design reserved matters approvals for Linden Homes and discharging site-wide planning conditions on behalf of the consortium of on-site housebuilders.
